Have you ever felt like you’re the only one doing the right thing? Then this is for you.
I always wanted to see things done accurately, as I grew up paying attention to details. “Excellence Knows No Tribe” is what I strongly believe in, as is Omotayo Tajudeen’s mantra. So, in a bid to maintain my integrity, I faced criticism and was advised to loosen up.
As we’re gradually losing disparity between right and wrong, we’re only left with where our moral compass leads us. This might come as a surprise but when was the last time you had a hundred percent conviction; that a decision you took was right? Ok, maybe you’ve had some time, especially if you were assured by God.
What I’m trying to express is, there have been days and there will be days, when you’ll feel like the choice you made, as opposed to the options you had wasn’t the best one. You’re not alone if you’ve ever felt like that. One thing you need to be sure of is that your moral compass is at peace.
In a bid to live and ensure that integrity is key, we need to work to the best of our ability. If I should find someone with a similar belief system; it’ll help me stay faithful. One thing is sure, just as sanitation isn’t one woman’s job, you’re not alone in your belief system.
I am Oluwatobiloba Agboola; a creative writer and everything in between. I’ll be telling stories from images captured by Omotayo Tajudeen (@tayodepo). Stay tuned, and feel free to type how you feel about them.
